In 2009, Gardner Payne started PAYNE BOXING in North Carolina with only 5 employees. Today he manages 11 boxers and over 100 employees. His business has successfully developed in eight locations including seven states (Florida, North Carolina, ) and Puerto Rico. Gardner Payne has been awarded 'North Carolina Manager of the Year' consecutively for FOUR years from 2017-2020. His achievements are well recognized internationally. Aside from PAYNE BOXING Gardner is an Attorney and Consultant. He enjoys managing relationships, financial parts, brand awareness and legal services for his boxers.

Luis 'chiro' perez
Perez oversees all training and coaching at the Payne Boxing Camp. Perez started his career working the corner for most of Don King's fighters, including “Iron” Mike Tyson and training fighters at the World Famous 5th Street Gym. Perez has worked with numerous world champions including, but not limited to Roy Jones, Jr. Paulie Malignaggi, Vicente Mosquera, Ada Velez, Guillermo Jones, Trevol Bryan, Francisco Palacios and many others. Over his career, Perez has worked the corner in over 25 world championship bouts. Perez is currently helping to train Payne Boxing fighters Frenci Fortunato and Juan Carlos Peña and has been in the corner for Alberto Palmetta and Marcos Escudero in recent fights.
