A YOUTH OLYMPIAN LOOKING TO BECOME AS BIG OF A NAME IN THE PROS AS HE WAS AS AN AMATEUR

Payne Boxing manager Garnder Payne, has signed Mirco Cuello to his already talented group of young, established, up and coming fighters. He becomes the third newcomer to join the Payne Boxing family in 2020.

Cuello comes via Argentina, a place that Payne has found success finding young fighters ready to make a name for themselves in the boxing world. The 20 year old, had a very impressive career as an amatuer in Argentina, which is why he was a sought after talent. Most notably as ana amatuer, Cuello competed at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, where he earned a bronze medal. He also competed at the 2020 WBA Future Champions Tournament, winning both of his bouts in that event.

His extensive amatuer career prepared Cuello to turn pro. He made his professional debut on November 7th, at the Payne Boxing Series 2 event, promoted by former world champion Christy Martin. Cuello proved he was ready for the pro level of boxing, knocking out Akihiro Nakamara in the first round.

Mirco may be young, but the southpaw has proven he has the drive, and the talent to be a force in the boxing world for years to come.
